GENERAL INFORMATION
- All safaris and tours are private and conducted by Stephanie and/or David, solely for the party reserving the safari or tour, ensuring personal care and attention at all times.
- All prices are quoted in South African Rand. The rate of exchange between the South African Rand and other currencies is calculated on the bank buying rate (which is the lower rate) applicable on the last day of the tour/safari. - Guests are collected from JNB/OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg , or any other location in either Johannesburg or Pretoria .
- All tours are R1850.00 per person sharing per day (single supplement is R2070.00) to a maximum of 8 people. A non-refundable deposit of half the cost of the entire tour is required to confirm; the balance is payable in cash or travelers cheques only, before departing on the tour/safari.
- Transport is in an air-conditioned vehicle, with tinted windows for UV protection for the comfort of the guests.
- Prices Include:
- All gate entrances to places mentioned in the itinerary,
- Accommodation according to the itinerary,
- Conservation fees,
- Breakfast and dinner as per the itinerary,
- Road transport as per the itinerary,
- Personal guide,
- 14% VAT on the daily rate
- An on-board fridge in the vehicle with limited cool drinks and mineral water,
- Prices Exclude:
- Drinks and alcohol,
- Gratuities,
- Accommodation before and after tour/safari,
- Flights,
- Optional excursions not included in the itinerary,
- Telephone calls,
- Facsimiles,
- Items of a personal nature,
- Personal and Medical insurance.
Please note: Early bookings for the Kruger National Park are essential as occupancy levels at game lodges and most hotels/guest houses in the surrounding area, are very high.
Accommodation in the Kruger National Park is subject to availability and if necessary, comparable accommodation (Guest House/B&B) will be sought near the entrance gates to the Park. The same applies to other Parks that can be visited.
THE KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
Size: 2 million hectares, over 350 kilometres north to south;
Wildlife species: 140 mammals, 119 reptiles, ± 506 birds, 55 amphibians,
± 1980 plants.
Tour No: DS021 : 2 nights / 3 days
Day 1:
After guests are collected, we travel to the internationally acclaimed Kruger National Park , passing through the scenic and breathtaking Drakensberg Mountains en route, arriving in the Park in time for an afternoon of game viewing. Dinner will be at the camp/guest house where guests are being accommodated.
Overnight: Kruger National Park/Guest House

Day 2:
We wake up early to devote the day travelling through the Park, through different ecological areas, ranging from riverine brush to open savannah, supporting an abundance of wildlife, including the Big Five. Brunch will be at one of the camps along the way and dinner at the overnight camp/guest house.

Day 3:
An early start for a last game drive followed by breakfast taking the national highway to JNB/OR Tambo International Airport (a 6 hour drive) or to your destination in Johannesburg or Pretoria.

5 – Day Tours (DS022 & DS023) : 4 nights / 5 days
2 additional days touring in the Kruger National Park can be added to tour DS021 (=Tour DS022) or 2 days of sight-seeing in the region west of the Kruger National Park, which includes magnificent scenery and diverse attractions, can be added before or after tour DS021 (=Tour DS023).
D & S Tours & Transfers carries passenger liability, but we strongly advise tourists/passengers to take out adequate travel insurance to cover personal accidents, medical expenses and loss of luggage.
